Words cannot express the deep sense of loss and hurt we have felt since our father Paul Boden passed away and went to be with the Lord on September 17th. For the past few years we have not been involved in the day-to-day operations of our fathers publication, US Gospel News. The past 3 weeks have been very difficult to handle due to the stress of having to deal with our father's passing and also learning of the overwhelming business decisions that must be made as we learned of dad's decision to leave the US Gospel News in our hands.

It was dads sincere wish that the paper could continue after his death and that it might be sold and the proceeds used to provide some future security for his family.

Immediately at his death we were told that the publication was worthless and had no value. We were also told that it had no potential buyers nor would anyone be interested in the publication. On the day our father was laid to rest we had people demanding to know our plans for the paper and all we wanted to do was to grieve for our father.

Just this past weekend we finally secured the keys to the office and we are just now beginning the painful and yet prayerful task of trying to determine if there is anyway that we could honor our father's final wishes.

We humbly ask that our subscribers and advertisers and writers please give us a period of 60-90 days to determine the appropriate actions to take in regards to the future of the publication that dad loved so much. Dad loved and prayed for each one of you and was always ready to help someone out because he believed that everyone deserved a chance. We'd like to now come to you and ask that you extend that same chance to us to see if we can continue the US Gospel News in his honor.

We also recently learned that there were several attempts by interested parties in the publication to contact us and they were unsuccessful until just this weekend. We are still working out all the issues of communication including restoring the email accounts and phone systems so that we can begin the huge task of sorting all this out. We do now have the email address working again at info@usgospelnews.com

We will be giving you updates from time to time throughout this process and the moment we make a final decision we will notify each one.

Contrary to several published reports and emails and newsletters circulating in the southern gospel community we have not made any final decisions on the publication other than that we have asked Mr.Charles Brady of Caraway Media Group to assist us during the interim period.

Our family has not endorsed, approved or granted permission to any former employees or any other publications including but not limited to the recently announced formation of Gospel Music News to act on our behalf or speak for our family. No one has been endorsed, approved or granted permission to solicit, extend or pick-up or honor or sell subscriptions to US Gospel News.

Once the family has met with legal council and discussed any and all potential opportunities to continue the publication we will then make the announcement of our plans at that time. We ask for your continued support & patience with the family during these most difficult transitional times and please know that if there is any way for US Gospel News to continue that it will continue. To honor the final wishes of our father would mean a lot to our family. Pray for us as we attempt to do just that.

During the transitional time Mr. Brady will be working on maintaining the US Gospel News TOP 100 Chart for us and plans are in the works now to continue the reporting for the chart. We ask that all reporting stations please contact Mr. Brady by email at southerngospel@gmail.com for instructions on continuing your reporting for the chart. We also ask that all writers please submit your columns by email to info@usgospelnews.com and we hope to be able to make them available online.
